Regional Hunting Differences
Kansas is composed of different regions. These regions include varying land use and habitat. Not all of Kansas is equal in deer or turkey production. We will take the mystery out which region to hunt. That will be to right down to the spot to park the truck step out and hunt.
We are not limited to the driving distance around a single hunting lodge. That means we can make all of Kansas available to us of where to lease land. We simply lease land for our exclusive hunting use where we get the most return.

Kansas hunting with Mid-America Hunting Association offers more than just Eastern and Rio Grade Turkey hunts.
Deer
Kansas Mule and Whitetail Deer hunts have long been the combined interest of the spring turkey hunter. The common approach is that each spring turkey season is as much of a turkey hunt as a fall deer scouting trip.
Those that Kansas spring turkey hunt, deer scout and fall deer hunt the same locality or collection of farms from year to year are also the hunters that seem to have the most spring and fall hunting success. Most will agree it takes more than one trip to one lease to learn the golden nugget spots. Even after identifying that one good spot it typically takes a full hunting day in the blind or stand to truly appreciate the movement patterns of both turkey and deer. Getting that opportunity to hunt and scout the same leases twice a year is encouraged to enhance hunter success.
Pheasant
Kansas also offers the best pheasant hunting amongst our three state area.
Many turkey/deer hunters will after tagging out on a fall deer hunt grab a shotgun and walk up some roosters just to add to the enjoyment of the trip.

Quail
Those with bird dogs can add a quail hunt. The many small grain crop fields to be found hold coveys. Our mild weather allows for both covey and singles action. Even with open ground, quail hunts will require a dog. The quail will be in the bush that will prohibit hunter access.
A Kansas Quail Hunting day
Jon & John,
Once again, another quail season has come to an end. It seems like time is flying by quicker each season. This is my 26th year as a member. Early on limits were common. But at this point in my life it doesn't matter. I am very fortunate to say that I have hunted several club farms with 4 different generations of quality dogs.
The conditions on the last two hunts of the season were extremely difficult. We averaged 4 coveys per day. But the birds were very jumpy. They ran and flushed wild due to warm weather the first day. There was ice and snow on the second.
I'm looking forward to spending some time with my daughter during the spring turkey season.
Bob
Hunted mostly crop edge this day.

Brooke is just right of dead center on this picture, another singles point.
Our quail hunting is much different than in the arid states. Our Kansas quail hunts include much singles action, cooler temperatures, no snakes and no cactus.
Kansas Pheasant Hunt
Hey folks,
Just a note to wish you a Happy New Year. I included a photo of our successful start for the season.
I was surprised to be able to get out again this season. I had multiple exercises and holiday trip to Orlando. But was able to fill the game bag with three pheasants and a quail.
Daisy is doing great for not doing anything for the past month. I was in Korea for the first half of the month. Then we took the kids to Disneyland over Christmas. OK, the trip was really for me. The kids had to come since they're not old enough to be left alone yet. Things picked up when block leave is over. I don't predict many days like this. I fully appreciate all I can get. Take care and again, Happy new year!
