Not A Hunting Club

Mid-America Hunting Association is not a hunting club.

A hunting club is a social organization without immutable structure to insure absolute parity to all members. Within our organization our rules are set and never negotiated. It is by the mechanism of having and following rules that all members have equal access to all Association resources. In a club, access to resources are based on interpersonal relationships rather than an understanding of how the organization operates.

We are a business and as such exist with a customer service attitude to insure the continuation of the business. That continuation is based on a quality product sought after by the hunter who will seek to renew his membership. Hunting clubs continue based on personal relationships more than objective based procedures or a quality product.

Hunting club decisions are typically by majority rule and sometimes by consensus. Within a business decisions are based on the product most likely to continue the business' existence. In our case that product is quality hunts defined as the right habitat within the right region of the state that has a history of reproduction of sustainable select wildlife populations, limited hunting pressure and controlled access.

With a business approach, a quality product, parity to customer support and clarity of procedures has an efficiency gained from consistent performance. Hunting clubs follow the will of the strongest members. This business rather than club approach follows that while the MAHA staff will be friendly to all, no staff has friendships with members.

This extends that no staff hunts with members or has or any other actual or appearance of preferential treatment toward any one member or group. In short our business approach keeps life simple and communication lines clean when there is one hunting system for all.
